Hey everyone! I’m reaching out to the community for some help with a couple of issues I’ve been facing with my smart home setup. First, I wanted to share my experience with the Echo Show camera feed issue. I’ve had three Echo Show devices, and for the past few months, none of them have been displaying live camera video. They just show the home screen or some ads, and I have to swipe to get to the camera view. It’s been really frustrating, especially since it worked fine before. I’ve tried resetting them multiple times, and it works for a little while, but then the problem comes back. I’m hoping someone out there has found a solution or a workaround for this. I’m really curious to know if there’s a fix coming in future updates or if there’s something I’m missing in the settings.
On another note, I’ve been working with LightwaveRF Mood Switches and the RFXCOM plugin in Home Assistant. I upgraded to version 0.113 recently, and I noticed that the mood buttons on my switches aren’t working as they did before. Previously, each button had its own device ID, but now it seems like they’re all grouped together, and only the main On/Off button is recognized. I’ve been digging through the logs and trying different configurations, but I can’t seem to get the mood buttons to work properly. It’s a bit of a setback since I rely on these switches for my lighting setup. If anyone has encountered this issue or knows of a way to resolve it, I’d really appreciate the help.
I also wanted to share a success story with my music lights. I recently set up some string lights for my Christmas decorations, and they’ve been a hit! I used Node-RED to create a simple automation that changes the light colors based on the time of day and music playback. It’s been a fun project, and I love how it adds a festive touch to my home. I’m planning to expand this setup for other occasions too.
