Echo Show Video Buffering Issue Resolved with Firmware Update

I wanted to share some positive news regarding the recent firmware update for Wyze cameras. For the past few weeks, I was experiencing significant buffering issues when trying to view my Wyze cam (both v2 and Pan models) on my Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 5 devices. The video quality was inconsistent, and it was quite frustrating to rely on such an essential feature of my smart home setup.

However, I’m thrilled to report that with the latest firmware update (version 4.9.5.105), the buffering issue has been completely resolved! While there is a slight initial delay of about 15-20 seconds when connecting to the camera, once it’s established, the video streams smoothly without any interruptions. This improvement has made a world of difference in how I interact with my Wyze cameras through the Echo Show devices.

A huge thank you to the Wyze team for addressing this issue and for continuously enhancing their products. If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I highly recommend updating your firmware as soon as possible to enjoy a much better viewing experience. It’s great to see such proactive support and product development from Wyze!

Overall, this update has significantly improved my smart home experience, and I’m confident that future updates will continue to build on this positive momentum. Keep up the fantastic work, Wyze!
