Echo Spot 2024: Turn Off Display Feature Request

Hello everyone, I’ve been really enjoying my Echo Spot 2024, but there’s one feature I’m hoping Amazon might consider adding soon. I’ve noticed that while older models like the Echo Show and Echo Show 8 allow users to turn off the display, this functionality seems to be missing on the Echo Spot. I’ve had the device for a few months now, and while it’s a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, the inability to turn off the display is something that’s caught my attention.

I’ve tried reaching out to customer support to see if there’s a workaround or if this feature is planned for a future update, but so far, I haven’t received any concrete information. I understand that the Echo Spot is designed with a focus on its display, but having the option to turn it off could be really useful, especially for those of us who prefer a more minimalist setup or want to conserve energy.

I’d love to hear from others who might have encountered the same issue or have any insights or workarounds they’ve discovered. If this feature isn’t currently available, I’d be happy to provide feedback on how it could be implemented in a way that enhances the user experience without compromising on the device’s core functionality.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or information you might have! I’m really hopeful that Amazon will consider adding this feature in an upcoming software update.
