Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with the Echo Spot and its weather display feature. I recently got mine, and I was really excited to set it up. However, I noticed that it wasn’t showing the weather information—it only displayed the current date. I tried everything from unplugging and replugging it in to doing a factory reset, but nothing worked. The address was set correctly, so I knew that wasn’t the issue. I even reached out to Customer Service, and all they suggested was getting a replacement. That wasn’t ideal, so I decided to dig deeper.
After some research and trial and error, I stumbled upon a workaround that finally fixed the issue. It turns out that the Echo Spot relies on the Alexa app to fetch weather data. By manually updating the weather in the app, the Echo Spot started displaying the correct information. It was a bit frustrating at first, but I’m relieved it’s working now.
