I’ve been using ECO Heating Ultimate 1.1 with Better Thermostat 1.3.0 for a while now, and it’s been working perfectly for the most part. I have a Eurotronic Spirit Z-Wave thermostat and an Aqara Zigbee window sensor set up. The system checks every 5 minutes, and when I open a window, the thermostat drops to 8°C, which is exactly what I want. When I close the window after 6 minutes, it goes back to the programmed setting. So far, so good!
However, I’ve noticed an issue when the window is left open for longer periods, say 30 minutes or more. When I close the window, the thermostat stays at 8°C, and the Better Thermostat dashboard card remains gray. I have to manually press the heat symbol to get it working again. Even waiting for 15 minutes doesn’t help. I assumed ECO Heating Ultimate would handle this since it checks every 5 minutes, but it seems like it’s not the case.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it? I’d really appreciate any advice or workarounds you might have.
