The goal is to have it trigger when my front door contact sensor is activated, providing a loud alert to deter any potential intruders. The setup process using the SmartStart with DSK code went smoothly, and I can manually control the device to test different sounds and volume levels. However, I’m facing an issue when trying to create a basic rule in my Hubitat system.
The problem arises when I attempt to link the contact sensor to the chime + siren. Despite including the device, it doesn’t appear in the list of available devices when setting up the rule. I’ve tried switching drivers, even using the Aeon Siren driver, but that didn’t resolve the issue—it just made the device unresponsive. This is quite frustrating, especially since I’m still getting the hang of setting up rules in Hubitat.
I’m currently running the C8 Pro with firmware version 2.3.9.154. I wonder if there’s a specific driver or configuration I’m missing that could make this integration work seamlessly. I’ve scoured the forums and documentation, but I haven’t found a solution yet. If anyone has experience with this setup or can offer some guidance, I’d be incredibly grateful.
