Eero Pro 6E Upgrade and Smart Door Unlock Issues

I recently upgraded my Eero 6+ mesh network to the Eero Pro 6E, and I must say, the setup was a breeze. However, I’ve encountered an intriguing issue that I wanted to share and see if anyone else has experienced something similar.

For those who don’t know, I’ve been using Home Assistant to automatically unlock my front door when I’m near my home. It’s been a fantastic convenience—no more fumbling for keys in the dark! But since upgrading my Eero network, my door has started unlocking at random times.

What’s even more puzzling is that when I checked the location data on my phone and my wife’s phone, they were showing up at our old address, where the Eero mesh network was previously installed. This is particularly odd because we’ve lived here for five years, and nothing else in our home setup has changed.

I’ve scoured the Eero settings for any clues, but nothing seems out of place. The only thing I noticed were these purple lines on the map, showing my location at the old address, even though I haven’t been there in days. It’s almost as if the Eero Pro 6E is holding onto some residual location data from the previous setup.

I’ve reached out to Eero support, but in the meantime, I’d love to hear if anyone else has faced a similar issue or has any troubleshooting tips. It’s been a bit of a head-scratcher, but I’m hopeful we can figure this out together.

Fingers crossed for a quick resolution—this feature is too handy to give up!
