Hey everyone! I’m really excited to share my latest project and see if anyone has some tips or advice. I’ve been working on creating an automation system that combines fans and AC units to efficiently cool my home while saving energy. The goal is to have the fan run at maximum speed first, and if the temperature doesn’t drop enough, the AC kicks in. Once the desired temperature is reached, the AC turns off, and the fan continues at a moderate speed. It sounds simple, but getting it to work smoothly has been a bit of a challenge!
I have different rooms with varying setups—some have 4-speed fans, others have 6-speed fans, and each has its own AC unit. I tried using some blueprints from the forum and even created my own, but I haven’t quite nailed it yet. The main issue is dynamically adjusting the fan speed based on the current temperature. Most solutions I’ve found fix the fan speed, which isn’t ideal for my setup.
I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with similar automations or knows of any resources that could help me fine-tune this system. Maybe there’s a way to use templates or scripts to make the fan speed more responsive to temperature changes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Let’s make our homes smarter and more energy-efficient together! ![]()
