I wanted to share my experience with the built-in shopping list integration in Home Assistant, as it’s been a lifesaver for our family during the holiday season. While it’s a useful feature, I didn’t want our family members to accidentally clear the items they had selected. After some research and experimentation, I managed to find a workaround that involved custom JavaScript code and card-mod. It wasn’t straightforward, but persistence paid off!
