Recently, I’ve been working on optimizing my home’s motion detection system using multiple sensors. I rely on motion sensors to trigger notifications via an Echo device, but I encountered a challenge when windy conditions caused false alarms from a single sensor. I wanted to ensure that the automation only triggers when both sensors detect motion simultaneously for more accurate alerts. While the system didn’t initially support this, I found a workaround by adjusting the automation logic to check both sensors manually. This experience highlighted the importance of thorough testing and adaptability when setting up smart home systems. It’s amazing how these small tweaks can significantly enhance the reliability of our setups!
