Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with automating my pool pump using the HM-ES-PMSw1-Pl switch. I’ve been trying to optimize my pool maintenance routine, and I think I’ve found a great solution that others might find helpful too!
So, the goal was to have the pool pump run from 10 AM to 5 PM daily, but also automatically turn off if the power consumption drops below 200 Watts. This would prevent the pump from running unnecessarily when only the circulation pump is active. At first, I wasn’t sure how to tie the power consumption into the automation, but after some research, I figured it out!
Here’s what I did: I set up a time-based automation for the switch to turn on at 10 AM and off at 5 PM. Then, I added a condition to check the power consumption using the sensor on the switch. If it goes below 200 Watts, the pump shuts off. The next day, the schedule kicks back in automatically. It’s been working perfectly for a week now!
I’d love to hear if anyone else has similar setups or if there are even better ways to optimize pool maintenance. Let’s keep sharing tips to make our smart homes even smarter! 🛱️✨
