I’ve recently embarked on a journey to transform my home into a smart haven, and I must say, it’s been an exciting ride! One of the key areas I’ve focused on is smart lighting, and I wanted to share my experiences and tips with the community.
Starting with the basics, I decided to go with a mix of Govee and Wyze bulbs. The Govee LED Strip Lights have been a game-changer for ambiance, especially in the living room. This setup has drastically reduced dropout issues, especially with my Iris V1 motion sensors.

Using IFTTT, I’ve created routines that automatically adjust lighting based on time of day or when certain devices are triggered, like the Ring doorbell. This level of automation has made daily life more convenient and enjoyable.
