Hey everyone, I wanted to share my journey in creating a seamless smart home setup using devices from various brands. 
My goal was to integrate everything smoothly without compromising on functionality or ease of use.
Starting with my lighting system, I combined Philips Hue with some budget-friendly LED strips. The Philips Hue Sync Box 8K has been a game-changer for my TV setup, offering perfect color synchronization. I’ve also managed to incorporate some Wyze cameras for monitoring, which integrate well with my existing ecosystem.
One challenge I faced was getting my Bosch thermostats to work together. After some research, I discovered that using a central hub like Homey allowed me to automate temperature adjustments across different zones effortlessly. It’s amazing how a single platform can unify devices from different manufacturers!
I also had some fun experimenting with custom automations. For instance, I set up a routine where my lights dim and the thermostat adjusts when I press the ‘Sleep’ button on my remote control. This was achieved by creating a simple script that triggers the desired actions without needing separate flows for each device.
For anyone looking to mix and match brands, my advice is to start small, test each integration, and gradually build up your system. Tools like IFTTT and Homey have been invaluable in making this possible.
