I wanted to share a fantastic solution I found to make my evenings more convenient with the help of Govee smart devices.
The Problem:
Coming home late at night, I often found myself fumbling for my phone just to turn on the lights. It was a minor inconvenience, but it annoyed me enough to seek a better solution.
The Solution:
I have a Govee smart switch controlling an overhead fan in my bedroom and three Govee LED light strips for ambient lighting. The fan’s light is rarely used, so I focused on integrating the switch with the LED strips.
Implementation:
Using the Auto Run feature in the Govee app, I programmed the LED strips to turn on automatically when I press the smart switch. This way, flipping the switch not only starts the fan but also illuminates the room instantly.
Results:
This setup has been a game-changer! For about two weeks now, I’ve been able to walk into my room with both hands free, knowing the lights will come on as soon as I flip the switch. It works seamlessly, and I love the convenience it brings.
