Energy Monitoring and Smart Automation Setup

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience setting up energy monitoring and smart automation in my home. It’s been a journey, but I’m thrilled with the results so far!

First, I started with the energy dashboard. Seeing the real-time energy consumption data was fascinating. I was able to track how much energy I was generating versus consuming, which really helped me optimize my usage. I integrated this data into my smart home system, and it’s been a great way to keep tabs on my energy habits.

Next, I focused on automating my blinds using QMotion. It was a bit tricky at first, but I managed to set up individual controls for each blind. I used some Lua code to create custom devices, which allowed me to integrate them seamlessly with my existing smart home setup. It’s amazing how much this has improved my home’s comfort and energy efficiency.

I also wanted to share a fun project I did for Halloween. I synced my Govee smart LED bulbs with the movie The Haunted Mansion. The color changes and effects really added to the spooky vibe! It was a great way to get into the holiday spirit without too much hassle.

One thing I’m still working on is improving the motion detection in my cameras. Sometimes it’s a bit sporadic, but I’ve adjusted the sensitivity settings, and it’s getting better. I’m hoping to fine-tune it further to ensure consistent performance.

Overall, my journey into smart home automation has been incredibly rewarding. It’s amazing how technology can enhance our daily lives in such meaningful ways. I’m excited to continue exploring new possibilities and sharing my experiences with the community!
