Hi everyone, I’m currently working on integrating a Schneider Power Meter PM1200 with the Panel Server Advanced (PAS800) system. This has been a fascinating project, but I’ve hit a snag that I could really use some help with. The customer in question has a significant number of PM1200 meters already in operation, and they’re looking to connect these to the PAS800 without replacing them. Historically, they’ve used EXG300 and Com’X510 web servers, and they’re now exploring the PAS800 as a more advanced solution alongside their existing PME setup.
The challenge here is whether there’s a custom model device created for the PM1200 or if creating one is feasible. I’ve been researching this extensively but haven’t found a clear solution yet. If anyone has experience with custom device models or has successfully integrated older Schneider meters into newer systems, I’d greatly appreciate your insights or recommendations.
This project is a great opportunity to leverage existing hardware while upgrading the system’s capabilities. I’m particularly interested in how others have handled similar integrations, especially when dealing with legacy devices. Any tips on configuration, potential pitfalls, or best practices would be invaluable.
