I’ve been using the Arlo wireless setup for quite some time, but I’ve noticed that the frequent charging is becoming a hassle. I’m looking to upgrade to a Wi-Fi camera without the need for a PoE switch or cables. After some research, I’ve narrowed it down to TrackMix and the Reolax 523/823 WA models. However, I’m still undecided, so I’d love to hear others’ experiences with these cameras!
One thing I’m particularly interested in is setting up longer motion-activated clips. Currently, I use event detection and continuous recording, but the 12-second clips are a bit too short for my liking. I’d love to record the entire duration of motion or sound detection, whether it’s a few minutes or even hours. Does anyone know if this is possible or if there are any workarounds?
Another challenge I’ve faced is dealing with water accumulation in my outdoor motion sensor globe. It stopped recording, and I had to manually dry it out. I’d appreciate any tips or insights on preventing this issue in the future.
Overall, I’m excited to explore these improvements and would love to hear how others have optimized their outdoor camera setups for better security and convenience. Let’s share our experiences and tips!
