I recently upgraded my home security system by integrating Wyze cameras with OpenHAB, and I must say, the results have been fantastic! 
Here’s a bit about my journey and some tips for anyone looking to do the same.
Initially, I was struggling with inconsistent connectivity and camera placement. After some research, I decided to go with Wyze cameras due to their reliability and affordability. Pairing them with OpenHAB allowed me to create a seamless automation setup. For instance, motion detection now triggers not only the cameras but also adjusts the lighting in the area, providing a comprehensive security layer.
One challenge I faced was setting up full-screen clock displays on my Show 5. After some trial and error, I found that adjusting the layout settings under the ‘Home & Clock’ menu did the trick. It’s now fully utilizing the screen, which looks great!
