I’ve been diving into the world of smart home technology, and it’s been an incredible journey! 
I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips in case they can help others along their smart home adventure. 
One of the most exciting features I’ve discovered is the ability to customize my lighting setup with Govee LED lights. I’ve been experimenting with different color schemes and automation rules, and it’s amazing how much these little adjustments can transform the ambiance of a room. If only Govee could integrate features like album art color syncing, as mentioned in some discussions, that would truly elevate the experience! 
I’ve also been exploring the Homey Pro Dashboard feature, which has been a game-changer for organizing my smart devices. 
By creating custom dashboards, I can easily monitor and control my devices from one place. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but with some trial and error, I’ve managed to set up a system that works seamlessly for my needs. If anyone has tips on optimizing dashboards or hardware setups, I’d love to hear them! 
Another area I’ve been focusing on is integrating Google Home with my Nest devices. 
I’ve noticed that contact sensors show up in the Google Home app, but I’m curious if there’s a way to trigger alerts on my Nest Hub when doors open or close. If anyone has successfully set this up, please share your setup details! It would be a fantastic addition to my security setup. 
On the technical side, I’ve been tweaking my motion sensor settings to better suit my lifestyle. 
The default rest period of 59 seconds has been a bit of a nuisance, especially when multiple people are moving around the house. I’ve been experimenting with adjusting this timing and even exploring alternative automation scripts to make the system more responsive. If anyone has tricks for optimizing motion sensor rest periods, I’m all ears! 
Lastly, I’ve been impressed with the versatility of the Shelly devices in my setup. 
They’ve added a layer of reliability and flexibility that I wasn’t expecting. However, I’m still trying to figure out the best way to integrate them with my existing ecosystem. If anyone has tips on optimizing Shelly performance or troubleshooting common issues, I’d be grateful for the insights!
