Hi everyone!
I’ve been diving into the world of smart home gadgets and it’s been such an exciting journey! I wanted to share some of the cool additions I’ve made recently and maybe get some recommendations from you all.
First off, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my new smart blinds from mySmartBlinds. They’re controlled via Bluetooth and I’ve set them up to follow the sun, adjusting automatically based on sunrise and sunset times. It’s like having a personal assistant for my windows!
The best part is how easy they were to install—they even calibrated themselves. I’m hoping they’ll integrate with SmartThings soon, but for now, they’re a fantastic standalone solution.Another fun addition has been experimenting with neon rope lighting. I’ve created some cool accents around my home, and it’s amazing how much it transforms the ambiance. I’m thinking of incorporating some Govee LED lights to add more dynamic effects. Have any of you tried combining neon rope with smart lighting? I’d love to hear your tips!
On the practical side, I’ve been exploring Matter devices beyond just thermostats. I’d love to expand my network with a smart plug or two, but I’m curious to know if others have successfully integrated non-temperature devices with their Tado setups. Any recommendations or success stories would be awesome!
I’m also on the hunt for some budget-friendly motion sensors. The Wink Motion Sensor caught my eye with its Z-Wave Plus support and affordable price. Has anyone had luck integrating these into their system? I’d love to hear about your experiences!Lastly, I’m always on the lookout for fun DIY projects. If you have any creative ideas or hacks you’ve tried, I’d be thrilled to hear about them. Let’s make our smart homes not just functional, but also a blast to live in!
Thanks for reading and happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
