I wanted to share my recent experience with Siri Shortcuts and how it’s transformed my smart home setup. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m excited to walk you through it!
I recently discovered the power of Siri Shortcuts and decided to dive in. Initially, I was a bit overwhelmed, but with some research and experimentation, I figured it out. Here’s how I got started:

Creating My First Shortcut: I opened the Shortcuts app and navigated to the ‘My Shortcuts’ tab. Tapping the ‘+’ button led me to a world of possibilities. I searched for Hue Essentials actions and configured them to control my lights. It was so satisfying to see everything work seamlessly!

Adding Shortcuts to the Home Screen: To make things even more convenient, I added my shortcuts to the Home screen. This way, I can quickly access them without digging through apps. It’s been a game-changer for controlling my lights on the go!

Exploring Automations: I also delved into automations within the Shortcuts app. Setting up triggers based on my routines has made my home feel even smarter. For example, I created an automation that turns on my hallway lights when I unlock my phone at night. It’s these small touches that make a big difference!
