Enhancing Nuki Smart Lock LED Feedback

I’ve recently started using the Nuki Smart Lock and it’s been a fantastic addition to my home security setup. The integration with my existing smart home ecosystem has been smooth, and I appreciate the convenience it offers. However, I’ve noticed a small feature that could enhance the user experience even further. Currently, the LED on the smart lock blinks when the door is unlocked, providing a visual cue that the lock is in an open state. While this is helpful, I believe adding a setting to have the LED blink when the door is locked would be incredibly beneficial.

This addition would offer clearer visual feedback, especially in low-light conditions, allowing me to quickly assess the lock’s status without needing to physically check the door. It could also serve as a helpful reminder if I accidentally leave the door unlocked. I imagine this feature could be implemented similarly to the existing unlock blinking, perhaps with a different blinking pattern to distinguish between locked and unlocked states.

I’m curious if others have thought about this or if there are any workarounds currently available. It would be wonderful if Nuki could consider this enhancement in future firmware updates. In the meantime, I’m exploring if there are any community-developed solutions or custom configurations that might achieve this functionality. If anyone has insights or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Overall, the Nuki Smart Lock has been a great investment, and any improvements to its feedback mechanisms would only make it more user-friendly. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to any feedback or ideas you might have!
