I’ve been tinkering with my outdoor Zigbee setup and wanted to share my experience in case it helps others facing similar challenges. My garden is surrounded by thick stone walls, which unfortunately block the Zigbee signal from reaching my outdoor modules. After some research, I decided to add a second ConBee II USB stick in a waterproof enclosure to extend the coverage. However, I encountered an issue where only one stick could be connected to my Homey’s DeCONZ app.
I explored alternative solutions and discovered that maintaining a unified system with Homey was key, while using Home Assistant solely for visualization. This setup allowed me to manage all automations seamlessly. I’d love to hear if anyone has tried similar solutions or has recommendations for Homey-compatible USB sticks.
The process was a bit trial and error, but it taught me the importance of thorough research and patience when dealing with signal interference. If anyone has tips or success stories, I’d be happy to discuss further!
