Enhancing Smart Home Automation with Fibaro RS3 and Enocean Switches

I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my Fibaro RS3 roller shutters with Enocean wireless switches for more seamless automation. The idea is to control the shutter angles directly from the switch, which isn’t a straightforward setup. After some research, I discovered that while the RS3 supports manual adjustments, incorporating a stop command within the automation flow was a hurdle. However, by utilizing Webhook commands and creating a custom flow, I managed to achieve the desired functionality. Here’s how it works:

  1. Setup: I paired the Enocean switches with my Homey controller, ensuring they’re recognized within the system.
  2. Flow Creation: I designed a flow that triggers on a switch press. The flow adjusts the shutter angle by a predefined degree (e.g., +5° or -5°) each time the switch is pressed. This required tweaking the shutter commands to include precise angle adjustments.
  3. Testing: Initially, there were some hiccups with the shutter stopping mechanism, but after some trial and error, the system now responds smoothly.

This setup has transformed my living space, allowing for effortless manual adjustments while maintaining the benefits of automated control. It’s amazing how integrating different technologies can enhance home comfort and efficiency!

If anyone has tips on optimizing these flows or suggestions for alternative methods, I’d love to hear them. Happy automating! :rocket:
