Enhancing Static Lighting with Govee Hexa Pro

I recently got my hands on the Govee Glide Hexa Pro LED Light Panels, and I must say, the installation process was a breeze thanks to the app guiding me through every step. However, when it came to setting up the lighting designs, I found myself a bit overwhelmed. The app offers a plethora of color options and preset animations, but digging through them all to find what I wanted was no small feat.

What I really wanted was the ability to customize each side of the cube individually. Currently, the app only allows me to set the entire cube to one color or choose an animation that cycles through different zones. While the hardware clearly has the capability for more nuanced control, the app just hasn’t caught up yet. I can only hope that Govee will update the app to include a static lighting option in the DIY section, where I can assign different colors to each cube or even zoom in to select specific parts. This would be perfect for creating a cool, static lighting effect without the eye strain caused by animations.

In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different preset animations to see what works best for my setup. It’s been a fun challenge, and I’m excited to see how Govee continues to improve the app to unlock the full potential of these lights. If you’re looking for a way to elevate your home’s ambiance, the Govee Glide Hexa Pro is definitely worth considering—just keep an eye out for future updates that might add the customization features we’re all hoping for!
