ESP32 and Homey Pro Integration for Garden Irrigation

Hey everyone,

I’ve been really into home automation lately, especially finding ways to make my garden smarter. So, I decided to try setting up an irrigation system using an ESP32 and Homey Pro. It’s a fun project, and I thought I’d share my journey here.

I’ve got this relay board that I want to control through Homey. The idea is to automate water valves for different parts of my garden. I installed the ESPHome app, programmed the ESP32, and set up the IP address. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I hit a snag. When I tried adding the ESP32 as a new device in Homey, it asked for a Bearer token, and honestly, I have no idea where to find that. It’s a bit frustrating because I was really excited about getting this up and running.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Maybe there’s a simpler way or a different approach I could take. I’d love to hear any tips or alternative solutions people might have. I’m hoping to figure this out soon so I can start testing the system and maybe even integrate some soil moisture sensors in the future.

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer! Let’s make my garden the smartest on the block.

Best,
