Hi everyone, I’ve been experimenting with ESP32 controllers for my smokehouse project and wanted to share my experience and some questions I have.
First, I’ve been really impressed with the flexibility of ESP32. I’ve managed to connect thermocouples to monitor temperatures accurately, which is crucial for smoking meats. However, I’ve run into some challenges when trying to connect multiple devices via the SPI bus. I’ve seen references online about connecting several devices, but I’m struggling to find a clear example of how to do this effectively.
I’ve tried searching for example code or forums where others have successfully connected multiple sensors to ESP32, but I haven’t found a straightforward solution yet. Does anyone have experience with this? I’d love to know how many devices can be reliably connected and if there are any best practices to avoid interference or signal loss.
Another thing I’ve been curious about is how others have handled temperature control in their smokehouses. Have you found specific sensors or controllers that work exceptionally well for this purpose? I’d love to hear about your setups and any tips you might have for ensuring consistent results.
This project has been a great learning experience, but I’d appreciate any advice or resources that could help me refine my setup. Thanks in advance for your insights!
