ESPHome and e-ink Display Setup for Smart Thermostats

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent project where I integrated an ESPHome-driven e-ink display into my smart home setup. It’s been a fantastic way to blend technology with home decor, especially with the weather and subway info dashboard I created. GitHub has been a great resource for this.

One challenge I’ve been tackling is setting up thermostats in SmartThings. I have electric radiators controlled by Shelly switches and Ruuvi temperature sensors in each room. The goal is to create independent thermostats for each room, but I’m not entirely sure about the best approach. Any tips or experiences from others would be super helpful!

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is enhancing the Manual alarm system in Home Assistant. As mentioned in some forums, it would be great to have an instant trigger feature, regardless of the arming mode. This would be especially useful for scenarios like glass break detection or protecting side doors.

I’d love to hear how others have tackled similar projects or if there are any innovative solutions out there. Let’s keep the ideas flowing and make our homes smarter together! :rocket:
