Recently, I completed an exciting home automation project by installing four ET2 IQ LED lamps, including three pendant lamps and one flush mount lamp. This journey was both challenging and rewarding, and I’d like to share my experience with you.The packaging was excellent, with each lamp well-protected, though I wish they used more eco-friendly materials. The installation process was quite involved, especially for someone with my level of experience. The pendant lamps required precise cable adjustments, which I managed using a combination of plastic cable ties and spring-loaded grommets. I also found that using a wire coat hanger as a temporary hook was incredibly helpful for supporting the lamps while connecting the wires. One of the most surprising aspects was the delicate finish of the stainless steel and aluminum components. I quickly learned to use the included white gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. Despite my best efforts, I managed to scratch one of the lamps slightly, but it’s barely noticeable. The flush mount lamp was much easier to install, though it still required careful attention to ensure it was level and secure. Once everything was installed, I tested the lamps extensively, and they performed exceptionally well. The brightness and color saturation are outstanding, and the integration with HomeKit was seamless.I also want to mention the importance of using the correct tools and techniques. For anyone planning a similar installation, I recommend practicing the cable adjustments beforehand and ensuring you have the right tools on hand. Patience is key, as rushing through the process can lead to mistakes.Overall, I’m thrilled with how the installation turned out. These lamps not only enhance the aesthetic of my home but also provide reliable and intelligent lighting solutions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality, smart-enabled lighting options.
