Eve Aqua Leak Detection and Remote Access Setup

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Eve Aqua sensor and how I managed to integrate it with Home Assistant for leak detection. I’ve been using the Eve Aqua for a while now, and it’s been working great, but I’ve been thinking about how to optimize its functionality further.

One thing I’ve been curious about is whether I can configure the maximum time and water flow detection directly within Home Assistant instead of just through HomeKit. I’ve added some small sprinklers for my plants, and unfortunately, they occasionally malfunction, causing water leaks. Detecting these leaks and stopping them automatically would be a huge help! I’ve been exploring the Home Assistant community to see if anyone has found a workaround or a custom integration that can achieve this.

Another area I’ve been working on is setting up remote access to my Home Assistant setup, especially since I live in an apartment complex with multiple routers. I stumbled upon Dataplicity’s Wormhole service, which seems promising for establishing a remote connection through NAT. While I’m still experimenting with it, I’ve found that it works well for my Raspberry Pi-based setup. It’s a bit technical, but the community support has been invaluable in getting it up and running.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tackled similar challenges or has tips for optimizing leak detection or remote access setups. The Home Assistant community is amazing, and I’m grateful for all the resources and support available! :raised_hands:
