Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share some recent additions to my smart home setup. Over the weekend, I picked up a couple of IKEA TRÅDFRI wireless control outlets. They’re supposed to integrate seamlessly with my existing smart devices, and I couldn’t wait to try them out.
I’ve been using IKEA bulbs with a custom device handler in SmartThings, and they’ve been working like a charm. So, I was really looking forward to adding these outlets to the mix. I mean, who doesn’t want more control over their home’s lighting and electronics?
But here’s the thing—I tried setting them up, and while the bulbs are working perfectly, the outlets aren’t showing up in SmartThings at all. I’ve scoured the internet for solutions, checked forums, and even reached out to some community members, but no luck yet. I’m a bit puzzled. Is there something I’m missing?
I know the IKEA TRÅDFRI range is supposed to be Zigbee-based, and I have a Zigbee hub, so理论上,这应该没问题。But nothing shows up, and I can’t figure out why. I’ve reset the outlets, tried pairing them again, even restarted my hub. Still nothing.
I’m not the only one, though. I saw a few posts where others are having similar issues. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m determined to crack this. Maybe there’s a firmware update I missed, or perhaps I need a different hub? I’m not sure.
If anyone out there has successfully integrated these outlets into SmartThings, I’d love to hear how you did it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m hoping to get these outlets working so I can fully automate my living room lights. Imagine being able to turn them on and off with just a voice command or through my phone. It’s such a convenient feature, and I can’t wait to get it sorted.
Fingers crossed, the community can help me out. Thanks in advance for any tips or guidance!
