I’m thrilled to share my latest project with the community! I’m in the process of building out a smart home system using the Radio RA3 controller, and I’m really excited about integrating the Koto tunable white fixtures. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m determined to get everything set up just right.
I’ve been experimenting with the Ltech 0-10V tunable white drivers, which have been a great budget-friendly option. Pairing them with the 2x LMJ-5T-DV-B dimmers has allowed me to set the color temperature and brightness perfectly, but there’s one thing I’m struggling with. I’m trying to replicate the ‘raise to on’ functionality that I loved with my previous Lutron setup. Unfortunately, when I try to switch on with the brightness set to 0 and then slowly increase it, there’s a lot of latency. I’m wondering if this is a limitation of the 0-10V system or if there’s something I’m missing in my setup.
I’ve considered upgrading to DALI or DMX drivers, but they don’t seem to play nicely with the Radio RA3. Plus, I really want to keep the costs down, as these drivers are a key part of making tunable white lighting affordable for my project. If anyone has experience with this or suggestions for alternative drivers that might work better, I’d be incredibly grateful!
It’s been a fascinating journey so far, and I can’t wait to see how everything comes together. I’m really hoping to get this last piece of the puzzle figured out so I can enjoy the full potential of my smart lighting setup. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can share!
