I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the latest additions to my smart home setup, and I wanted to share my experiences with the community! ![]()
First off, I’ve been using the Almond 3 Router for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer. The built-in Zigbee support, combined with the ability to add Z-Wave and Bluetooth via USB dongles, makes it an incredibly versatile hub. The touchscreen interface is a nice touch, and the local processing capabilities mean my smart devices respond almost instantly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to consolidate their smart home ecosystem! ![]()
Another exciting addition I’ve been exploring is the OwangO DECT Flood Sensors. After struggling with multicast issues using Shelly flood sensors in my Docker environment, I decided to give these a try. They integrate seamlessly with my Fritzbox setup, and I’ve successfully paired them to trigger actions like closing my smart blinds when heavy rain is detected. The switch module is also a great addition for controlling non-Zigbee devices. I’m really looking forward to testing them further! ![]()
On a different note, I’ve been diving into integrating my Huawei Solar Inverter into Home Assistant. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, especially with the Modbus TCP setup, but the satisfaction of seeing my solar production and consumption data in HA is incredible. If anyone has tips or experiences to share on optimizing this integration, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
If anyone else has exciting new devices or integrations they’ve been experimenting with, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s keep the smart home innovation rolling! ![]()
