I’m thrilled to share my experience with the latest firmware update for the ION9000, PM8000, and ION7400 devices! This update introduces Secure ION, which enhances security by enabling encrypted communication between devices and software. As someone who values robust security in my smart home setup, this feature is a game-changer.
The firmware also supports longer passwords, up to 16 alphanumeric characters, which adds another layer of protection. I’ve already updated my respective software to take full advantage of these new features. The process was smooth, and the support for Secure ION in ION Setup and upcoming updates for Power Monitoring Expert (PME) and Power Operations ensures seamless integration.
I’m particularly excited about the increased robustness this update brings. It’s reassuring to know that my devices are now more secure and reliable. If you haven’t updated yet, I highly recommend doing so to enjoy these enhanced features. Thanks to the developers for continuously improving these devices!
