Exciting New Gadgets and Integration Tips

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share some of my recent experiences with new gadgets and how I’ve been integrating them into my smart home setup. First off, I recently got my hands on some amazing Govee products during their Fan Fest event earlier this year. The quality and variety were just incredible, and I can’t wait to see what they release next! If you missed out, keep an eye out for their sales and events—it’s totally worth it!I’ve also been diving into some more technical stuff lately. I’ve been trying to set up a smart lighting system using Inovelli dimmers, and honestly, it’s been a bit of a learning curve. I’ve got three zones working perfectly, but adding a fourth to control them all at once has been a bit tricky. I tried using the Rule Machine, but it just wasn’t quite there. If anyone has some tips or has managed to get this working, I’d love to hear about your setup! On the topic of lighting, I’ve been experimenting with some Moes dimmer switches and the Moes wired gateway. It’s amazing how much you can do with Zigbee and HomeKit, but I have to admit, getting everything to play nice can be a bit of a challenge. I’ve found that using the Vera+ platform alongside openLuup has been a lifesaver for handling more complex scenarios. It’s been a fun project, and I’m slowly getting everything to work seamlessly.Another thing I’ve been really into lately is automation. I’ve set up a few rules using the Mushroom Template for my HMIP door lock, and it’s been fantastic. I love how I can customize the interface and integrate it with other sensors, like my door contact. It’s all about making my home smarter and more convenient, right? If anyone has some cool automation ideas or templates they’d like to share, hit me up—I’m always looking for new inspiration!I’ve also been exploring the world of energy monitoring with my INNR SP120 smart plug. It’s been great to keep track of my energy usage, but I’m still trying to figure out how to reset the kWh counter without having to remove and re-add the plug. If anyone knows a quick fix for this, I’d appreciate the help! All in all, it’s been a fantastic journey experimenting with new devices and learning more about how to integrate everything. The community here has been so supportive, and I can’t thank everyone enough for sharing their knowledge and experiences. If you’re just starting out, don’t be afraid to dive in—it’s worth it!
