Exciting New Smart Home Devices and Their Setup Journey

Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to share my recent smart home setup experiences. It’s been a whirlwind of learning and discovery, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or tips on these projects! 1. Integrating the ADC Skybell HD I recently added the ADC Skybell HD to my smart home setup. It was a breeze to connect it with the ADC app on my Android smartphone. However, I noticed something peculiar: while the device appears perfectly in the app, it doesn’t show up when I log into my ADC account via a standard PC browser. I’m curious if this is intentional or if I’m missing a step. Also, I’m wondering if it’s possible to integrate the Skybell HD into my GC3 panel as a sensor, similar to how the DB1 works. It would be fantastic to have the doorbell announce sensor or button presses through the panel! 2. Wyze Camera Adhesive Disks Speaking of cameras, I’ve just installed my first Wyze cameras. One thing I was unsure about was the adhesive disks. I know both sides need to be used, but does it matter which side is attached to the metal disk and which goes on the surface? I’ve heard some people use Command Strips, but I’m okay with the semi-permanent adhesive since the cameras will stay in place. Any insights or tips on this would be appreciated! 3. Theater Mode Automation My family and I are movie enthusiasts, so I decided to create a “Theater Mode” automation. When activated, this mode dims the lights, lowers the blinds, and ensures a cinematic experience. I used a virtual device app to create this mode and set up flows to handle the triggers. It’s been working beautifully, and I love how it enhances our movie nights! If anyone has tips or suggestions on these projects, I’d love to hear them! It’s amazing how technology can enhance our daily lives, and I’m excited to continue exploring and improving my smart home setup. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to your feedback!
