Exciting Smart Lighting Setup Journey

Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share my recent experience setting up a smart lighting system in my home! :rocket: It all started when I decided to upgrade my traditional lighting to something more modern and connected. I’ve been eyeing smart bulbs and switches for a while, and finally took the plunge last weekend.I began by researching compatible devices and stumbled upon some fantastic options. I decided to go with a mix of GE Link Bulbs and a Lowes Iris Z-Wave switch. The process was a bit overwhelming at first, but I managed to get everything connected thanks to the SmartThings app. The ability to control the lights via my phone is amazing, and the dimming feature has really transformed the ambiance of my space. One thing I’m curious about is whether I can achieve more advanced functionalities, like setting the lights to 10% brightness in night mode, using just the regular Z-Wave switch and GE Link Bulbs. I’d love to avoid the need for a dimming switch if possible, but I’m not sure if the current setup can handle that. Any advice or tips from more experienced users would be greatly appreciated! This project has been a great learning experience, and I can’t wait to expand it to other rooms in my house. The possibilities with smart lighting are endless, and I’m excited to see how much more I can do with my setup. Thanks to everyone who’s shared their knowledge in this community—it’s been a huge help!If anyone has suggestions for compatible devices or tips on optimizing my setup, please share! I’m all ears and looking forward to hearing your insights. :raised_hands::sparkles:
