Expanding Home Security: Can Multiple Home Hubs Work Together?

Hey everyone, I’m currently exploring ways to enhance my home security system and wanted to share my thoughts and ask for some advice. I’ve been using a Home Hub for a while now, and while it’s been great, I’m starting to think about adding more cameras in the future. The idea of having multiple Home Hubs on the same network is intriguing, but I’m not entirely sure how feasible it is.

Currently, I have a setup with 8 cameras connected to my Home Hub, and everything runs smoothly. I’m considering adding another Home Hub to handle additional cameras, maybe another 8, but I’m curious if this would cause any issues. I’m planning to configure each camera to connect to its respective Home Hub locally over my LAN, which should theoretically keep things separate yet integrated.

I’m also thinking about the cost aspect. The Home Hub Pro offers more features, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment right now. I’m leaning towards sticking with the standard Home Hub for now and maybe upgrading later if needed. Local SD card recording on each camera is another feature I’m exploring, which would add an extra layer of security without relying solely on the cloud.

My main question is: Can multiple Home Hubs coexist on the same network without interfering with each other? If so, how does the integration work within a single account? I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with this setup or has any tips to ensure a seamless integration.

Thanks in advance for your insights! I’m really looking forward to expanding my security system and would appreciate any advice you can offer.
