Experiencing Compatibility Issues with Gen 3 Learning Thermostat

I recently purchased the Gen 3 Learning Thermostat, excited to upgrade my home’s heating system. However, I’ve encountered some unexpected challenges during installation. My setup uses a two-wire configuration with a Red Wire = V+ and a Black Wire = Vg. Previously, I had a Daikin BRC1E73 thermostat, which worked seamlessly with this configuration.

The Gen 3 thermostat’s installation guide specifies connecting to a Red (RH) and a White (W1) wire, which doesn’t match my current setup. Despite thorough research and compatibility checks before purchase, I’m now facing issues where the thermostat doesn’t detect power on the W1 wire. This has left me unable to proceed with the installation as intended.

I’ve tried reaching out to customer support and reviewed online forums, but haven’t found a definitive solution yet. I’m hoping the community might have some insights or workarounds. Has anyone else encountered similar issues with the Gen 3 thermostat? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions. I’m eager to resolve this and make the most of my new thermostat.
