Hey everyone!
I’ve been diving into the world of advanced flows and device integration lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. I’ve been using Homey for a while now, and while I love its flexibility, there’s always more to learn!
First off, I’ve been trying to get my Advanced Flows to work seamlessly with my iPhone. I’ve heard that it’s possible to start them from the Homey app or even through an Apple Widget, but I’m running into a bit of a snag. I’ve set up a normal Flow to trigger the Advanced Flow, but it doesn’t seem to recognize it. Does anyone have a workaround or a tip for making this happen? I’d love to have the convenience of starting complex routines with just a tap on my phone!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with integrating a Siemens washing machine into my setup. It’s a smart model, but getting it to communicate with Home Assistant has been a bit of a puzzle. I’ve tried a few different integrations from HACS, but they haven’t worked out yet. If anyone has successfully connected their Siemens or Bosch appliances, I’d be thrilled to hear how you did it! Any advice or resources would be super helpful.
I also wanted to share a tip I came across for those dealing with multiple brands of smart devices. Sometimes, ensuring smooth communication between devices from different manufacturers can be tricky, but using a reliable Zigbee gateway has made a world of difference for me. It’s helped bridge the gap between Philips Hue lights and some of my Lidl smart plugs seamlessly. If you’re struggling with compatibility issues, I’d highly recommend exploring Zigbee solutions!
Lastly, I’ve been curious about others’ experiences with motion sensors and their temperature readings. I upgraded my Hue motion sensors recently, and while they’re working well, I noticed that the temperature data isn’t showing up anymore. I’m wondering if this is a common issue with the latest firmware or if there’s a setting I’m missing. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you resolve it?
All in all, it’s been a fascinating journey exploring all the possibilities with smart home devices. I’m always eager to learn more and hear about others’ setups and tips. Let’s keep the discussions flowing! ![]()
