Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my experience with the Aeon Labs Micro Double Smart Switches (Model DSC17). These switches have been a great addition to my smart home setup, but I’ve encountered a minor issue that I’m hoping the community can help with.
I recently installed several of these switches, and while they work perfectly for controlling a single output, I’m struggling to get both outputs to function independently. The current drivers only allow partial control, treating both outputs as a single unit. This is a bit limiting, as I would love to use each output for different devices or functions.
I’ve reached out to the Aeon Labs support team, and they pointed me to their technical specifications page. From what I understand, the switches are designed to handle two separate outputs, but it seems like the existing drivers aren’t fully utilizing this capability. I’m curious if anyone else has successfully configured these switches to control two separate devices or if there’s a workaround to enable this functionality.
In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with different configurations and even looked into creating a custom driver, though I’m not very experienced with programming. It would be fantastic if the community could share any tips or scripts that might help me achieve this. I’m also considering reaching out to other forums or developer communities to see if there’s a solution I haven’t discovered yet.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the quality and functionality of these switches. They’re compact, easy to install, and integrate seamlessly with my existing smart home ecosystem. Solving this minor issue would make them even more versatile, and I can’t wait to see how this works out. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can provide!
