First off, I’ve been diving into the Lovelace interface in Home Assistant. It’s amazing how customizable it is! I’ve set up a picture-entity card for my doorbell camera, and I’m trying to automate it so that when the doorbell sensor triggers, the correct tab opens and the camera stream starts automatically. It would be perfect for a seamless doorbell system. I found some old threads from 2017 about triggering live views, but nothing conclusive. Has anyone managed to get this working smoothly? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! On another note, I’ve been looking into SimpliSafe for a security system. I’m really interested in integrating it with my existing Z-Wave devices like door sensors and sirens. My questions are: Can I trigger the SimpliSafe alarm directly from Home Assistant? Does Home Assistant support reading statuses from SimpliSafe hardware like window sensors? And finally, has anyone had a smooth experience with the SimpliSafe integration? I’d love to hear your insights and experiences. I’ve also come across some fascinating projects, like using a Chamberlain CWA2000 driveway alert system with SmartThings. It’s impressive how creative people get with their setups! I’m curious if anyone else has integrated similar devices and what challenges they faced. Lastly, I’ve been thinking about consolidating my devices onto newer hardware. I have a C-7 and C-8 that I’d love to retire and move everything onto a C-8 Pro. Does anyone know if this is feasible with the migration tools available? Overall, it’s amazing to see how much potential there is with these systems.
