Hello everyone! I hope this finds you well. I wanted to share some of my recent experiences and ask for your insights on a few topics that have been on my mind.
First, I’ve been working on integrating my IP cameras into Lovelace. I managed to get the stream component working, but I’m curious about how others handle still images for their camera feeds. I’ve heard that using still images can help with auto-refreshing image glance cards, but I’m not entirely sure how to set that up. If anyone has tips or tricks, I’d love to hear them!
Another thing I’ve been exploring is temperature automation. I’ve set up a system where my HVAC adjusts based on the outdoor temperature, but I’m looking to refine it further. Specifically, I’d like to trigger certain actions when the temperature is within a specific range. For example, turning on a fan when it’s above 75°F and turning it off when it drops below 70°F. Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup? Any advice on how to make it more efficient would be greatly appreciated.
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with my Govee RGBIC spot lights. They’ve been a fantastic addition to my outdoor lighting setup, but I’m curious about how others use theirs. Do you have any creative ways to integrate them into your home automation routines? I’d love to hear some ideas!
Finally, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone in this community. The knowledge and support shared here are invaluable, and I’ve learned so much from all of you. Keep up the amazing work!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Happy automating! ![]()
