Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of home automation and have a few thoughts and questions to share. First, I’ve been trying to control my cameras via Home Assistant, specifically an Imou Bullet camera. While everything works perfectly through the HA GUI, I’m running into issues when trying to toggle motion detection on/off via a script. I keep getting an ‘Unknown error’ which translates to ‘NotImplementedError’ in the logs. I’m not sure if this is a hardware limitation or if I’m missing something in the setup. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
On a more positive note, I’ve been blown away by the new Sonos group creation feature in Home Remote. It’s incredibly intuitive and mirrors the official Sonos app experience. I’ve successfully grouped my living room and dining room speakers, creating the perfect multi-room audio setup. This feature has really elevated my home entertainment experience!
I’d also love to hear from anyone who has experience with controlling devices via SSH on their CCU. I’m looking to automate some processes but am unsure where to start. Any tips or resources would be invaluable.
Lastly, I’ve been working on integrating my Gumax roller blinds and lights with Homematic. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, especially with the 433 MHz signals and Sonoff bridge setup, but seeing everything work seamlessly now is incredibly satisfying. I’d love to hear about others’ experiences with similar integrations.
If anyone has advice on migrating Zigbee devices from Core to OS, I’m all ears too. I’m planning to switch to Home Assistant Blue and want to avoid re-pairing all my devices. Happy to share my progress and learn from the community!
