I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect camera system for our church, and I wanted to share my journey in case it helps others. My goal was to set up a reliable system without the need for a subscription, focusing on essential features like local recording, live streaming, zoom functionality, and alarm setup. I stumbled upon the Arlo camera system, which seemed promising, but I was unsure about what features would still be available without a subscription.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that Arlo cameras do allow local recording, live streaming on both the app and computer, and even zoom during live streams! I was particularly relieved to find that setting up alarm zones was also possible without a subscription. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but with some trial and error, everything started to fall into place.
