After years of using OpenHAB, I’ve come to appreciate its flexibility and power, especially now that I manage several properties with diverse IoT setups. Each location runs its own OpenHAB instance, controlling everything from outdoor lights to irrigation systems. However, I’ve been pondering how to integrate these systems into a central dashboard for easier monitoring and control from home.
The challenge is ensuring remote instances remain functional even during internet outages, ruling out VPN solutions or consolidating into a single instance. My current thought is leveraging myopenhab cloud for each instance, pulling data into a unified dashboard. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s implemented a similar setup or has insights on the best approach to achieve seamless integration across multiple locations.
This exploration is not just about convenience—it’s about reliability and ensuring that no matter the circumstances, I can maintain control over my IoT devices. Any tips or experiences would be invaluable as I navigate this setup!
