Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately and have a couple of questions and experiences to share. First off, I reached out to Qolsys about their compatible devices and was told that their distributors have access to a comprehensive list through their dealer portal. I’m curious if anyone has managed to get this list publicly available or if there’s a workaround for the rest of us who aren’t distributors. It would be super helpful to have a clear understanding of what devices work seamlessly with their systems beyond the few listed on their site.
On another note, I’ve been playing around with custom color schemes on my smart lights. I created a really nice setup that I wanted to save for future use, but I’m not entirely sure how to do that. I’ve tried a few things in the app, but nothing seems to stick. If anyone has tips or tricks for saving and recalling these custom settings, I’d be thrilled to hear them!
I also wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on for Halloween. I’ve set up some spooky themed lighting that really sets the mood in the living room. It’s been a great way to get into the holiday spirit, and I’m excited to see how it turns out on the big night. If anyone else has some cool Halloween smart home ideas, I’d love to hear about them!
Lastly, I stumbled upon a guide on integrating iCloud calendars into Home Assistant, which I think could be a game-changer for automating events based on my schedule. If anyone has experience with this or similar integrations, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have.
