Hi all, I’m thrilled to finally get my hands on the Homey 2.0!
I’ve been eagerly awaiting its arrival and can’t wait to integrate it into my smart home setup. I currently have a mix of devices, including Nest, Ring, LG TV, some HomeKit-compatible light strips, and a bunch of Aqara sensors. My ultimate goal is to have everything seamlessly integrated with HomeKit for easy control via my iOS devices and Siri, while using Homey as the central hub for more advanced automation flows. I’ve heard that Homey 2.0 has some fantastic improvements, especially with HomeKit integration, but I’m still navigating the best way to set everything up without needing additional hubs or breaking the bank.
I’ve done a bit of research and found a few products that seem promising, like the TKB Home Z-Wave Mi Lightwave and Philips Hue, but I’m not entirely sure if they’ll work perfectly with Homey out of the box. I’d love to hear from anyone in the UK who has successfully set up a similar system or has recommendations for compatible devices. Bonus points if you can share tips on creating smooth automation flows or avoiding common pitfalls!
In particular, I’m on the hunt for compatible cameras, wall switches, dimmers, and lights that are readily available in the UK and supported by Homey. I’ve stumbled upon a few options, but I’m not sure if there are more cost-effective or reliable alternatives out there. Any insights or personal experiences would be invaluable as I embark on this exciting project!
Looking forward to hearing from the community and learning from your experiences. Let’s make this setup as seamless and efficient as possible! Thanks in advance for your help. ![]()
