Curious about integrating various smart home devices from different brands? I’ve been on a journey to connect my KAKU and Tradfri devices with Homey, but it’s been quite the adventure. Initially, everything worked smoothly, but after some updates, I started encountering issues where lamps wouldn’t function properly, even after re-adding them. Battery info from Fibaro and Aqara sensors also stopped updating, which was quite frustrating.
I’ve heard great things about Homey’s ability to bridge different ecosystems, but these hiccups are making me question if it’s the best fit for my setup. I’m now considering going back to using individual brand apps, but I really miss the convenience of having everything in one place.
