Exploring Custom Color Schemes and Patterns - A Fun Challenge!

Hey everyone! I’ve been really into experimenting with custom color schemes and patterns in my smart home setup, and I thought it’d be fun to share my journey and maybe inspire others to get creative too! :art::sparkles:

I recently came across the idea of creating Largo Requests, which is essentially a fun challenge where you can request custom designs or patterns from the community. It’s a great way to showcase creativity and get some awesome hashtag shoutouts when you complete a project! :sparkling_heart: The rules are simple: one request per person per day, keep it appropriate, and have fun! I’ve already started brainstorming some cool patterns for my RGB lights, and I can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with. If anyone wants to collaborate or share their ideas, hit me up! :wave:

On a different note, I’ve been diving into integrating some Fibaro sensors and switches into my setup. It’s been quite the learning curve, but I’ve managed to create some pretty smooth automations. For instance, I set up a motion sensor paired with a double switch to control my hallway lights. The flow works perfectly, but sometimes there’s a slight delay due to the distance from the Homey hub. I’ve heard that creating associations between devices can help reduce this delay, but I’m still figuring out the best way to implement it. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing these setups, I’d love to hear them! :brain::bulb:

Another project I’ve been working on is customizing the color temperature and brightness of my IKEA Trådfri bulbs using a fluxer. It’s amazing how much of a difference a good color scheme can make in the ambiance of a room. I’m particularly excited about using this setup for my morning routine—nothing like a gradual warm light to start the day! :sunny: I’ve also been exploring how to detect when lights are powered on manually using the wall switch, which is super useful for ensuring my automations work seamlessly. I’ve found some great scripting tips online, and it’s been a great learning experience!

I’d love to hear about your creative projects or tips for optimizing smart home setups. Whether it’s custom patterns, automations, or just general smart home hacks, let’s keep the creativity flowing! :rocket::sparkles:

Happy tinkering everyone! :computer::bulb:
